Let me show you...Nürnberg

I have promised another post on the Nuremberg subject. As you (hopefully) already know from my last mini article, concerning this beautiful city, I chose to visit it during the Christmas Fair. I would love to tell you a little about this enchanting city. Nuremberg is the second largest city of Bavaria and has about 500.000 residents. I was told that there is a small community of romanians living and working in the Nuremberg area. They are about 40.000 people. Also I am really proud to report that I spotted a romanian lady's name on a fancy lawyers' firm add.
Even though the nowadays Nuremberg is neat, beautiful and absolutely magical during this time of year, it's past is severely scarred by the Nazi movement. Maybe you didn't know that it was one of the most important Nazi propaganda centers and also the Nuremberg trials, held in 1945, tried and convicted the most notorious war criminals. Therefore, after 70 years Nuremberg still makes up for it's past, turning into a tolerant, open minded community.
My experience in Nuremberg was special and I strongly recommend you book your visit during the Christmas Fair for some extra magic.

Centrul de documentare / Document Center

Zeppelinfeld

Lorenzkirche / Biserica Sf Lorenz

Toy Museum - they don't make it like this anymore!

Primaria Nuremberg / Nurnberg Rathaus

Castelul imperial Nuremberg / Kaiserburg Nurnberg / Imperial Castle of Nuremberg

Tips!

If you wish to visit Nuremberg and also do a little shopping, keep in mind that the malls and shops close sooner than ours do. Also you might want to get your souvenirs before Sunday, because you can barely find anything open on Sunday!
I would like to suggest Vapiano for lunch or dinner, after you are done with the traditional cuisine of Nuremberg. It is a chic restaurant that doesn't have any waiters. You get to order your meal straight from the chefs and watch them cook it in front of you, asking for your suggestions and preferences. The pasta, pizza batter and sauces are made in house and you can watch the process. Vapiano is also really cheap for the quality it offers. I enjoyed some fresh linguine pomodoro for 6.90 euros. Pretty good, huh?

I hope you enjoyed my piece on Nuremberg! Hugs!
